Here is a video of me telling some of the stories behind this sculpture. Even though you can read about her on the web shop product page, sometimes it’s nice to hear it from the horses mouth. Find out what it was like looking for the right model and what the piece represents to me.

The title means Daughter of a Priest because the model is actually the daughter of a priest, which is still a massive bone of contention in her family.

The piece is fired to stoneware, thus frost resistant and perfect for outside. It is a wall hanging planter, complete with drainage holes. It was inspired by the floral patios of places like Cordoba, with their beautiful hanging pots full of geraniums and also by the figureheads of ships.

I actually made this piece as part of a clay demonstration at the 9th Annual Competa Art Walk.
