28/09/2019—26/10/2019 at La Conca – El Casino Arts Gallery Salobreña.

A little cultural distraction to feed your souls. This group art exhibition presents new paintings and sculptures by 13 accomplished artists.

Mutations, is the title of this exhibition. As a word it has become primarily used for mutation in biology through biological change in the genome and DNA. It does still mean just change in itself more prosaically through circumstance. Either way it is a process of deletion, insertion or rearrangement. It is something that every artist works through also in a process.

Now think about the artist adding in the subject of mutation into this formation mutating process. There is no certain outcome, everything is open to new interpretations. Anything is possible.

Directions

Once you enter the town of Salobreña, (under the main coast road bridge), take the first exit off the roundabout, follow the road round and go straight across the crossroads. Follow the signs for Castillo Arabe and head uphill into the old town. Head towards the square below the church and it’s just down on the left from there. Parking is pretty random up there but there are spaces scattered around. There is parking by the church and by the radio station.
