It was so exciting to walk into the exhibition and everything to be a surprise because I had not been part of the set up. I know all the artists and seeing their creative outpourings was over powering. I gave a speech as Chair of ANA and suggested people come back when it is less busy and choose a few pieces to look at for 10 minutes, to really give the art some time to work it’s magic. I also invited everyone to come along to the weekly art critique that Gareth Lister, the organiser and curator, has arranged to happen each Tuesday from 6-8pm. We will gather and speak about the work in detail and Charley Werff will give us some philosophy behind selected pieces.

The opening night was a really good social event with plenty of art lovers milling around talking about the art. The art scene seems to be thriving in Órgiva with 22 international artists exhibiting together in the old town hall. The exhibition continues until the 30th June.

Opening times: Tues, Wed, Fri 5pm-8pm, Thursday and Saturday 11am-2pm.
