Artists’ Network Alpujarra have organised a spring show full of fresh new art. There are 22 participating artists, some of whom will be exhibiting for the first time. I will be exhibiting several new pieces of sculpture and two large paintings. The exhibition is organised and curated by Gareth Lister, with the help from ANA members.

Gareth says of the show

There was no theme set for this exhibition and yet somehow all of the artists have similar preoccupations brought about no doubt from working in this beautiful part of Andalusia. Themes of nature and landscape, the human figure and spiritual meditations on art and life are what tie these works together in what we hope will be a stimulating exhibition.

We hope you can come along to the opening night, all are welcome.

Opening night: 8pm on Friday the 8th of June at the old town hall Órgiva

You will also have the opportunity to experience the newly formed band: “Otra Banda” on the opening night. Asma is the songwriter and is on vocals, René plays keyboard, Franco is on guitar and Gustavo plays percussion. Their music is described as, “soul, with a jazzy flavour”.

Visit our Facebook event page, to tell us if you can make it and to see who else is going.
