I have been spending weeks and weeks working on one piece at this term at ceramics class. Keeping the piece wet under plastic and working in sections that will fit inside the kiln. The functionality has taken lots of planning, for example where the cable for the underwater LED strip lights go and how to fit the hoses.

This fountain is designed to either sit in a small pool with the pump at the base, so the water flows over the bowl edges or the whole piece can be placed on dry ground with the pump sitting in the bowl, so the water circulates only round the breasts to the bowl. Water… or it could be wine or vodka, what do you think?

Barbed brass nipple

I had to go shopping looking for some of these barbed brass nipples. I ordered them from USA in the end, as they didn’t seem to sell them in Europe.

Titty Jug

The idea is an extension from this jug I made last year, with one large breast on it. People asked me, “Why doesn’t it pour from the nipple?” I have also been making tall pots for a while and pieces that looked like they could become fountains. When this piece started to be sculpted, it didn’t seem so far fetched to actually make it into a titty fountain.
