In this painting I wanted to invoke the feeling of crisp dewy grass underfoot, you know that feeling? There is collage and layers upon layers of colourful brush marks making up the grass. Drips and splodges create the wild flowers. I used a limited palette of just four colours, red, blue, lemon yellow and white. This is a figurative painting of my right foot! I do actually have some laughably bad sun tan, shoe strap marks, that zig zag across my feet and I wasn’t brave enough to paint them in. Shame.
