Once the prints were ready I realised that once a poppy is taken from it’s natural environment, it’s significance becomes that of the first world war remembrance poppy. So going with that reference, rather than fighting it, my husband named the artwork Dead Soldiers Dreaming. This gives a slightly different story from what I was intending but it’s kind of the same, the miniature nude basking in the garden could be what those young soldiers were dreaming of.
