My aim in painting this was to combine a recognisable shape with abstract patterns and marks. This nude was fun to paint and I’m very happy with how she turned out. I really love the way at first glance she comes across as a seemingly frivolous naked being and on deeper inspection she actually expresses unshakeable confidence and natural beauty.
