St. Christopher
£25.00
Description
The Russian orthodox Catholics recognise St. Christopher as the dog headed saint, maybe because in times gone by when men wore animal pelts to keep warm. St. Christopher is one of the only mythical saints, no one knows for sure if he actually existed – He is the patron saint for travellers and bookbinders.
I had a silver St. Christopher necklace as a child, on wearing it as an adult I found my life to become extremely difficult, I found the charm to be a hindrance rather than a help. I made this photo montage to help myself work out why I really like the idea of a patron saint for my travels that he doesn’t actually work well for me.
